This is the guy that I wanted to win Canadian Idol a few years ago, but he came in 3rd place. Thank GOD he didn’t win! I don’t think he would have been as successful if he won. Hedley rocks! I love this song

I don’t normally do a lot of these things but I saw this on A Day In the Life of An Ambulance Driver’s blog and he made me LAUGH with is version number one of the meme (go check it out! You won’t regret it. Besides he has an interesting blog
)
I’m not as creative as he is so I’ll just do mine the regular way
The rules of the meme go:
1. Find the nearest book of 123 pages or more. No cheating!
2. Turn to page 123.
3. Find the first five sentences.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five other bloggers.
The book I grabbed is La Vida Vampire by Nancy Haddock.
“You’re the investigator. Draw your own conclusions.”
Still growling, Cat bit my cloak and pulled hard. Off balance, I stumbled a few steps. Fortunately, not into Saber. Cat spat the material out, turned toward the bay again, stopped and looked over her shoulder. I had the insane urge to say, “What is it lassie?”
Saber more or less did. “I’d swear that animal wants you to follow her.”
Okay it was more than 3 sentences. Just 3 sentences would have been boring though.
The book is really good so far (I’m on page 51).
I’m not tagging anyone. If you want to do this feel free to use my comments or take it to your blog!
And I really haven’t heard it a whole lot. The station I listen to on the radio doesn’t play (that I’ve heard) her songs. My sister bought the song on iTunes though. I might have to do that too lol.

This month I read 16 books and had 2 more that I couldn’t finish (and I tried!) I read fewer books than I usually do, more category romances than I usually read and had a few new to me authors (that I hope to read more from!).
So far this year I’ve read 79 books. In addition to that I’ve had 2 DNF books (the first 2 this year!). I bought one book this month (Happy Hour of the Damned by Mark Henry - who is FUNNY in one of the groups I’m in, so I’m really looking forward to reading his book). I’m continuing to avoid book stores as much as possible. I know of a few books releasing in the next few months that I have to OWN rather than read from the library so I’ll have to deal with not going crazy when I go to buy those books. lol I’ve been using my local library a LOT, along with putting a bit of a dent in my TBR mountain.
